AlterGather is the culmination of many years of collecting, crafting and collaborating. This project was born from the desire to share beauty through wearable art using salvaged and found things from the human and natural world, weaving them into magical and one-of-a-kind pieces and sending them off on their journeys. Inspired by the beauty of the natural world meeting the hard edges of alternative culture and human nature. All of my pieces are created with sustainability and style in mind. Crafted off grid on 100% solar power in my tiny cabin, using re-purposed leather, ethically sourced scavenged bones and as many local stones and repurposed elements as possible alongside luscious eco friendly fabrics and hand dyed details and packaging. Everything on my site is slow made and because of the nature of repurposed, natural and scavenged elements no two pieces are ever exactly the same, making your purchase Truly special. For the creator this project is as much about the process than the outcome, the philosophical and conceptual mirrored in wearable delights.
